A QR code on every table is the single most effective way to collect photos from wedding guests. It removes every step between "I want to share this photo" and actually sharing it.

How it works

  1. Guest sees a QR code card on the table
  2. Opens their phone camera and scans it
  3. A web page opens with an upload form
  4. They select photos and tap upload
  5. You receive the photos in your dashboard

No app to download. No account to create. No password to remember.

Creating your QR code

First, you need an upload link. Create one at getfiles.app — it takes 10 seconds. You'll get a short URL like getfiles.app/a3kx9p.

Now you need a QR code for that link. We recommend qree.app — it's free, no sign-up required, and you get scan analytics so you can see how many guests actually used it.

Just paste your getfiles.app link, download the QR code, and you're done.

Designing the table card

Keep it simple. The card needs three things:

  1. A short message: "Share your photos with us!"
  2. The QR code
  3. Optionally, the URL written out for people who don't know how to scan QR codes

Match the card design to your wedding theme. A simple 4x6 inch card or a tent card works well.

Placement tips

Will people actually scan it?

Yes — but you need to prompt them. A quick announcement from the DJ or MC ("If you'd like to share your photos with us, scan the QR code on your table!") dramatically increases participation. Without any prompting, expect 10–20% of guests to upload. With a verbal reminder, that jumps to 40–60%.

After the wedding

Send one follow-up message with the same link (or QR code) to catch photos from guests who didn't upload at the event. Many guests take their best photos home and forget about them. A simple "We'd love to see your photos from Saturday!" text works wonders.
